Week 33 - Mazzaro's Italian Feast

This weeks video entails a field trip to an Italian Grocery story in St. Petersburg, Florida. Caprese salad, Stromboli, date cakes, Castelvetrano olives, fresh bread, and dipping sauce are on the menu!

My husband and I recently celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary. This year my husband surprised me with a weekend getaway. He not only found us a cute bungalow within walking distance to fun restaurants and shops. He also planned a morning "foodie" experience for me.

Mazzaro's is an Italian grocery store located in St. Petersburg. It was the perfect gift! We walked in and I was in 7th heaven. Fresh cheeses, olive bar, wine, choice cuts of meat, freshly prepared meals, homemade pastries and gelato. It truly felt like paradise to me.

As we walked the store looking for some choice morsels to buy; it came to me that I needed to somehow tape an episode with our purchases. We had just had a great meal out the night prior, and great meals come with a great check. This night we were looking to have an amazing meal but at a much smaller price tag. This meal I picked out was spectacular and just as good as the heavy price tag we paid the night before.

No recipes come with this video because it is pretty simple. The point of this episode is to show you that you don't have to go out to eat while travelling. You can still have great meals on a budget in your bungalow
